Do you need a car in Switzerland?

The first question you need to answer is whether to important your current vehicle or purchase one in Switzerland after your arrival. This question is complicated, but Hello Switzerland is here to help. If you opt to import, then there are ways to significantly save if you plan in advance.

Vehicles that belong to people moving to Switzerland and that have been used at least six months abroad are duty free.
