Looking for a bit of Swiss culture? Then it's time to head to Emmental to explore the world of Kambly — Switzerland's most popular premium biscuit brand — and to see how Switzerland's legendary cheese is made.

Nestled in the midst of the idyllic Emmental Valley in Trubschachen, you'll discover the world of Kambly and its origins. The Kambly Experience, at Kambly's visitor centre, is a great day out for the whole family. Look over the master confectioner‘s shoulders to discover the secrets of the art of fine biscuit making, and take your pick of over 100 varieties of biscuits. You will find a great selection of exclusive and seasonal Kambly specialities suitable for anyoccasion.

Emmental show dairy

Discover all the new attractions that the Show Dairy has to offer. Fresh cheese is made every day at 14:00, the perfect chance for you to find out first-hand how milk is transformed into cheese. Alternatively, you can discover the four maturities of cheese with an audio guide tour. And every day at 15:15, you can taste various Emmental cheeses that are at different levels of maturity. The day's highlight is at 16:00 when an Emmentaler AOP is pulled from the pail by hand, accompanied by a live commentary.

The show dairy in Emmental 

In addition to learning about Emmental cheeses, there is plenty for younger guests to discover including a new playground and a petting zoo. Plus, there is a new addition — the Detective Trail. During the adventure, the entire family will discover that the key to the cheese cellar has gone missing and set out to find it with a booklet and detective box. This is a fun way for all detectives to learn the process of creating Emmental cheese by completing various tasks with the help of a magnifying glass and tape measure.
