The best spots for enjoying a craft beer in Bern

These are some of the locals' favourite places to enjoy an excellent beer straight from the tap:

Altes Tramdepot: smack in the Old center of Bern, with gorgeous views on the Aare, this place is all about beer and you can quickly see that from the huge copper vats placed in the center of the restaurant.

Barbière: one of the trendiest pubs in a very hip neighbourhood, Breitsch (the Bernese short version of Breitenrein).

Barbière has its own microbrewery and produces high-quality special beers and ales with influences from the Belgian, English and American brewing cultures.

In Lorraine, the artsy neighborhood, you will find Café Kairo.
