Sabina Fritzsche is the next artist displaying her work at the Centrepoint Artwall, the exhibition space of the largest English speaking community organization in Basel. Fritzsche ‘s mixed media "Flower Power" paintings will be on view at CentrePoint premises during normal opening hours from January 11th to February 23rd. Visiting the exhibition is free and open to everyone. Sabina Fritzsche is German and has been living and working in Basel since 1980. She is an experienced ART therapist who helps people to express those deepest feelings that cannot be expressed in words but in images. Describing her process, Sabina says, "I used to paint a lot outdoors, starting paintings outside and finishing them later in the studio. The initial concrete impressions made with watercolors were later elaborated, often with multiple layers using egg tempera or acrylic or mixed media, so they became mostly abstract. The flowers mostly show roses or lotuses. Most of the lotuses were started in Sweden sometimes even while directly on the water in a canoe. Flowers can connect us to our feelings of joy and love - it is a universal language. " Sabina Fritzsche has been giving seminars about art and displaying her work in-group and solo exhibition all over Switzerland since 1989. She is also an active Centrepoint volunteer and regularly leads art walks for those fellow members interested in learning more about Basel artistic treasures. more info: www.art-for-life.ch
