The University of Neuchâtel welcomes students from all over the world, with international students comprising 20% of its student body. Select Masters courses are taught in English. The University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Western Switzerland and The School of Hotel Management have campuses in the Neuchâtel region. Most of their degree courses are taught in French but a range of graduate level courses are taught in English. The International Centre for Sports Studies is also based in town and will be of interest to students interested in specific areas of sports law.
The Bologna Reform is a system to recognise foreign qualifications. It was created to facilitate mobility in the tertiary education sector. Switzerland was amongst the first countries to sign and implement this declaration.

Many universities offer flexible study options for mature students, with evening and Saturday classes allowing for work and family commitments. Migros Club School is a good place to look for classes, as they teach on a range of subjects, including language, professional, and extracurricular hobbies.
