Mail delivery
Mail will be delivered on the next day with A post or within two to three working days with B post. The Swiss Post provides detailed information on options and prices. If you receive a parcel that is too large for your mailbox, they will leave a yellow slip telling you the address to pick it up.
Change of address
To get mail forwarded to a new address, inform your local post office of your address change. The forwarding fee varies according to payment method and place of relocation.
Temporary change of address and mail delivery hold
The post office will forward mail to a temporary address or retain it at the post office to forward on your return.
Unsolicited merchandise
There is no legal obligation to either return or keep unsolicited merchandise. If goods were obviously sent in error, the recipient is obliged to inform the sender.
Avoiding junk mail
To avoid junk mail, official labels for letterboxes requesting no advertising are available. For German, register online with Briefkastenkleber, and for French and Italian at stop-pub.
