The Open Door was established in 1984 to provide a meeting place in Basel for English-speaking parents and their small children. Since then, it has expanded and now offers a va-riety of facilities and activities for families with pre-school children. The Open Door membership entitles you to Parent & Toddler groups (held three times weekly), playgroups for children from ages 2 to 4+, pre-reading group for ages 5+, bi-monthly newsletters, and a host of social functions including a Christmas party, Easter egg hunts, family barbecues, and evenings out. The Open Door is English-speaking, but welcomes all nationalities.
