The Brasserie of the new Volkshaus Basel was designed by Herzog & de Meuron. Its architecture combines classic brasserie-style elements with special design touches and adheres to the warmth and generosity of a beer hall. The combination of tradition and modernity also defines the range of head chef Marc Arnold, who dares to bridge the gap between simplicity and something a bit more special. Simple and tasty lunches but also filets de boeuf or oyster specials seek to meet all culinary desires at the brasserie.
